Dana Berca, our RA Manager introduces Shay Landa, our Mechanical Engineer:

“Meet Shay Landa, a walking legend with the mischievous curls and even more mischievous personality, and one of our tribe elders!

Shay joined Syqe 8 years ago, following the warm recommendation of Itay Kurgan – Syqe’s 5th employee and his longtime friend. In the 8 years before that, Shay took part in and managed a number of research and development projects for the Defense Industry of Israel and brought all of his experience with him to Syqe. He is one of our first Mechanical Engineers, solving any problem using his creative and super precise thinking. His skillfulness came in handy when he designed Syqe’s breakthrough cartridge, with all its supporting mechanisms within the inhaler.

Aside from being a talented engineer by day, Shay is a praised DJ, music producer, and organist by night 🎹, owning one of the biggest record collections in the country! After hours, you can find him at the TEDER or Pizza Lila 🍕, as his two passions are music and baked goods. Speaking of, Shay’s dietary regimen is so unique that his friends came up with a name for it that he had to adopt in order to clarify things to the public: ‘Shlandatarian’. Oh yeah, it’s because one of his old-time nicknames is Shlanda.

Shay is a dependable fella, always up for lending a hand and volunteering for a job, and we see it all the time here at Syqe – he is practically the 6th member of the HR team and my first choice for a troubleshooter!“
