Raz Shraga, our Senior Engineering Manager, introduces Zach Hazav, our Test Engineering Team Leader:

“Meet Zach, my doppelganger who looks nothing like me 😆. Zach and I arrived at Syqe almost at the same time 4 years ago and joined the same team – the V&V team – and since then, people keep mixing us up daily. After one year as a V&V Engineer, Zach took it upon himself to become the team leader. For starters, he changed the team’s name to Test Engineering and fine-tuned their work goals. Over the last 3 years, he led the effort of replacing all the automatic test equipment (ATEs) of the production line as well as adding some new ones, and the challenge of performing V&V tests for 4 significant product releases.

Today Zach’s team is composed of 5 incredibly talented engineers who love and appreciate him greatly. He is very attentive to their needs and always seeks to promote their professional and personal development. And how could Zach not want to see his team evolve when he is a person who constantly searches for new things to learn and investigate? This curious self-taught guy dives into the core of any subject he finds interesting. He is one of the brightest, most cynical, and most direct people I know – and he will never fail to hit you in the face with clever and authentic comebacks (and more often than not with an “I told you so” as he is usually right, much to everyone’s dismay…)

Zach also cultivates a team of marvels 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ outside of work – he is the father of adorable twins who were raised to be bilingual since birth! Cool, right? His strongest identifiers are a Rick and Morty t-shirt, red All-Stars, and a helmet – that goes with his single-speed bike, in which he takes much pride. Classy!
Before I wrap up, let me tell you some FASCINATING pieces of trivia about Zach: he loves Japanese cuisine and Japan in general, enjoys cartoons, progressive rock, and jazz music, he likes to travel to exotic islands and dine in Michelin Star restaurants, and to remind everyone that sleep is for the weak!“
