Ruslan Osmanov, our R&D Student, introduces Aviv Katzenstein, our Lab Student:
“Meet Aviv, our curly, perky, quick-witted Biotechnology student. Aviv began her journey at Syqe a year and a half ago and, since then, made an impressive lateral move across the organization as well as across the office space (from the West Wing to East Wing). Aviv started as a Patient Relations & Sales Specialist in our Customer Experience team, ensuring Syqe’s patients receive the best service possible. She supported and helped patients with technical challenges related to the device, treatment-related details, and more – always with a high level of care and empathy.
A few months ago, Aviv, who wanted to get her hands dirty in a job that would get her up close and personal with her field of study, transferred to Syqe’s BioChem Lab to join our brilliant all-women team of researchers 👩🔬. Rapidly learning the inner workings of this interesting role, Aviv now takes part in planning and conducting experiments, analyzing vaporizations using UPLC technology, and assisting in whatever she can in the everyday work.
Aviv showcases tons of devotion and determination in her work and undergraduate degree, yet somehow, she also manages to show up for all the reserve duty calls she gets (and believe me, there are a lot of them), mustering her full attention. Fun fact for finish: Aviv’s name in Hebrew means ‘Spring.’ This is pretty ironic considering her boyfriend’s name is Stav – Hebrew for ‘Autumn,’ and her favorite season is actually… Summer. But it is fitting at the end of the day since, like the warm and colorful season, she is quite the bubbly, vibrant spirit (even though she declares herself an old lady at heart 👵).”
