Zach Hazav, our Test Engineering Team Leader, introduces Keren Della Rocca, our Test Engineer:

“Meet Keren: my latest purchase for our Test Engineering team, whom we stole from QA (😈) for her hard work and great smile (among else). Keren began her journey at Syqe in 2019 as a QA Associate & Document Controller, which was a great way to get her foot in the door. She quickly became a key function in the QA team and had many work interfaces with the Engineering and R&D departments. She supported Syqe’s audits and RA submissions and led product and manufacturing inquiries, employee training, and improvements in Syqe’s QMS system. Most importantly, she was in charge of our controlled substances registration and management – a suitable job only for the crème de la crème of people.

As part of her job, Keren got to know Syqe’s engineering processes up close, and she was captivated. Sounds about right for a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate. After several years of becoming more and more experienced and proficient in the world of quality assurance, this left-brained, highly technical gal showed her managers that she was ready for something more. And this is how Keren switched positions this year and became a Test Engineer! Immediately, Keren took upon herself the efforts of leading the V&V testing and managing the external labs testing, and she will soon be launching the first station she developed for our production line. Proud of my girl!

None of this would have been possible if Keren wasn’t the dedicated person she is. An intelligent, self-reliant woman, who takes every task to the max, does not compromise on anything but the very best and is highly thorough in everything she does. And how can I fail to mention that Keren basically has two jobs – she also functions as a Major in her reserved duty, and she’s the first woman to serve in the extremely confidential position she holds 💪.

Keren is loyal, no doubt, both in her professional life and in her personal life. All her friends will tell you she is super dependable, supportive, sensitive, and caring. And not only towards people; she loves animals too – especially cats. Keren is also an enormous Harry Potter fan, an avid cyclist, and a former competitive swimmer (she doesn’t stop!); Oh, and she’s fluent in Italian. Molto bene!“
